CAD Conversion to Illustrator:
1. Need Auto CAD 14

2. File -- Export -- ".wmf"

3. Open ".wmf" in Illustrator (PC)

4. Save as Illustrator file again.

We transferred the DWG file to a PC floppy disk, put it into the PC and opened a program called CadBridge Beta 4 (you can find it on a German web site http://www.cad-loesungen.de/Tailormade/news.htm)

CAD Conversion:
converting DWG to Illustrator AI file

1. Click on the Start menu choose Run

2. The default path should read: C:\Program Files\Cad Bridge\Cad Bridge.exe.

3. Click OK

4. Fill in the password field with anything and click Ok.

5. Locate DWG file and drag and drop onto the Cad Bridge application or open and navigate to file.

6.If the window is blank, choose "Imput parameters", "General Parameters".

7. Make background black.

8. Set "Output Parameters" to "Vector Format" to "Illustrator" then choose "set to size"

9. Choose "Convert to" menu. Choose "Vector Format" "Illustrator"

10. That's it. Check the same folder where the original resides to see if the new conversion took place.

11. Close original file and repeat for additional files.

Note: Do not use "Auto Convert" or keep more than 1 file open simultaneously.
