In this direct mail piece, we announced AT&T's breakthrough in aviation communications technology, using the headline "Good things come to those who don't wait". This new inflight calling service was named "true ground-to-air calling". With it, AT&T's new technology offered corporate aircraft their own direct dial, 10 digit phone numbers. Now customers could call their company's plane using direct dialing from the ground, without the normal operator assistance, codes, passwords or callbacks. A response card was included for those wanting additional information, or to sign up for the new service. It was sent to business aviation customers for new or upgrading clients. This project helped the company position themselves against their main competitor, and established AT&T as the source of more advanced telephone technology for corporate aircraft.
