Not only did our Simon's "man" and his shadow win the approval of the cafe owner - it also has won numerous national design awards.

And while the man on the cup does not look too much like the real person Simon, to the double tall skinny espresso drinkers who start their day in the cafe, Simon is very real.

And very popular.
